Waxing is generally a tolerable experience with only mild discomfort, making it a manageable process for many individuals. While it may not be entirely painless, the brief discomfort is outweighed by the smooth and long-lasting results!
HOW LONG DOES A BROW WAX LAST?
To keep your brows on point we recommend waxing them every 2-6 weeks depending on the individual person
1. Your hair should be at least a ΒΌ inch long (the length of a rice grain).
2. If possible, come with little to no make up on the area being waxed. If you do have make-up we might need to remove all or parts of it.
3. Within 4 hours: no caffiene, no alcohol, no numbing creams, no hot showers. Within 72 hours: no glycolic, salicylic acids or Retinols on the area being waxed, no tanning, no spray tanning, no aggressive exfoliants.
4. Dont forget to tell us about your medications and if they change!
AFTER WAXING: DOS AND DONTS FOR BEST RESULTS
Everyone reacts differently, but most commonly you could be irritated for a couple of hours, up to 24 hours. After skin has normalized all usual activities and routines are fine. For 24 Hours- no exfoliating, no lotions/creams, aim for no makeup, no spray tans, no saunas, no hottubs, no heavy/sweaty workouts, avoid being outside or do activities in the heat where you might sweat.
For 72 hours- no tanning, no glycolic or salicylic acid on waxed area.
CAN I GET A WAX WHILE PREGNANT?
Yes you can! Your wax specialist should always know if your expecting so they can monitor skin integrity, and use safe products. Glycolic and saliycilic acid are common ingredients in ingrown hair products, we can be sure to recommend the best ones for you. Due to hormonal changes your skin could be more sensitive.
CAN MEN WAX THIER BEARDS?
We do not wax a full beard, most of the time these hairs are so deeply rooted it can cause scaring and irritation. However if you have finer patches or are only waxing a small area like excess hair on the chin, it is safe to do so.
